Who are these classes for?

These classes are for students in grade 3 and above.  They are for students who have never used a sewing machine and students who have some experience with using a sewing machine.

What is taught in these classes?

New students will learn beginning skills needed to operate a sewing machine.  Some of the skills introduced include how to thread a sewing machine, how to use the bobbin, how to use the needle plate to sew a straight line and how to reverse.  Students will use the skills taught in class to create projects they can keep.

Students who have participated in this class previously will review these needed skills.  They will also learn additional skills and  have the opportunity to make different projects that offer a different set of challenges.

What will my child need to bring?

Nothing!  Everything needed for the classes is included in the cost.  Students will have access to sewing machines, fabric, thread, scissors, etc.

What will my child take home?

They will get to keep whatever projects they create during classes.  This includes items such as hand warmers, tote bags, lavender sachets, memory games, fabric trays and more.

What do the classes cost?

Each series of classes costs $150 per student and includes all needed materials.  For example, a one week summer class would cost $150 for the entire week.
